Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct accidents and incident investigations
- Recommend re-design of system/standards/plans/standard operating procedure’s (SOP) to improve safety trends
- Conduct safe Behavioral Observations and Planned Task Observation
- Implement immediate remedial actions to reduce safety risk and exposure
- Participate regularly in shift safety meetings with underground maintenance teams
- Ensure good housekeeping standards and effective maintenance of equipment is adheres to as per planned maintenance schedule
- Ensure adherence to good housekeeping standards
- Ensure, adhere and monitor compliance to SHEC standards, procedures, policies and legal requirements
- Responsible and Accountable to install the permanent rail network to the requirement standard
- Responsible and Accountable to maintain the existing permanent rail network to the required standard as well as ancillary services in the haulage
- Update and Maintain Vaseline risks assessments
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience in supervisory role within a mining or engineering environment
- Clear credit record (Legal Requirement)
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- Trackman or Tracklayer Certificate/Diploma
- Prior experiences in the installation and maintenance of rail networks (underground & surface)
- Valid Driver’s License (Legal Requirement)
