Job Description:
To conceptualize, create, manage and oversee the application and interpretation of creative themes for all Pick n Pay creative content.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and create new artwork as required by the business
- Oversee the rework of supplied artwork from agency to be relevant/corrected for print media/digital screens
- Liaise and work with DTP on briefs to ensure correct application of current creative themes
- Brief/oversee other creatives/retouching/digital on required material when required
- Assist DTP with solving any creative problems/queries where needed
- Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are kept up to date with, and have access to any new/updated creative or other relevant communication
- Channel communication/new artwork/images from creative agency to all relevant parties
- Brand CI guardian for Pick n Pay
- Responsibility to query and approve/stop creative changes requested on jobs when required to protect brand integrity
Job Requirements:
- Must know Adobe InDesign CS, Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS
- Use a correct and on-brand fonts, images & colours for print and digital application
- Knowledge of multiple operating software packages
- Strong understanding of the retail design environment
- Knowledge of RMS Workflow would be an advantage
- Understand and setup artwork as per technical specifications and client requirements.
- Sound Understanding of Art Direction skills and techniques
- Must be proficient on all relevant Macintosh programs
Qualification & Experience:
- 5+ years experience in DTP Design/ Art Direction in a retail agency environment
- Relevant qualification from a Design College/Institution
